SHOWING PLUS BREEDS ANNOUNCEMENT!
from Defender Horse of the Year Event Management…
A massive CONGRATS to everyone who’s qualified for HOY 2025! We couldn’t be prouder!

We know the season for some has been tough with weather, travel, and economic challenges
. To keep the competition accessible and the ring buzzing
, we’re bringing back the Tier System (1 & 2). This means riders with two RAS Show attendances and applicable registrations are eligible to show!
We understand this change may feel disappointing, especially for those who’ve travelled far and wide to qualify.
But remember, every trip, every show, and every moment in the ring has helped you prepare for HOY.
Your dedication and effort will give you the confidence and readiness to shine in the ring!

Note: Unless special conditions apply, Tier 2 entries can only apply for a standard open yard
Let’s make HOY 2025 an unforgettable experience!

See you in the ring!
10 February 2025: Pony Hunter Jumping in Ring 2 – Tuesday 4th March.
This is a message for showing section competitors with Hunter Jumping ponies not exceeding 138cm, for the Pony Hunter Jumping classes in Ring 2 on Tuesday 4th March at the Horse of the year show…
Class 311 – Open Pony Hunter not exceeding 138cm,
and
Class 312 – Pony Hunter of the Year not exceeding 138cm.
Both classes have only two entries in each as at close of entries, which means that unfortunately they will be amalgamated with classes 305 & 306 for the bigger 148cm ponies, unless there are more entries come in.
HOY Event Management are accepting late entries for the show.
These classes for the smaller ponies were offered for the first time this year, and we would love them to succeed. You can still enter even if you have not qualified, as long as you have 2 x A&P show attendances.
If you have a 138cm & under Hunter Jumping pony and would like to enter, please do so urgently.
Thank you for your support with this.
