Vice President, Nic Barkley, was honoured to have been invited as the Official Guest to the Horowhenua Agricultural, Pastoral and Industrial Show over Wellington’s Anniversary weekend.
Horowhenua was also hosting a Royal Event in the Dairy Cattle Section, which added to the prestige of this year’s Show.
“It was an absolute privilege to have attended this year’s show, and take part in the many events that took place,” says Nic. “The Show’s President Kyle Blenkhorn, Secretary Jill Timms, and the whole committee put on an fantastic event.”
The first part of Nic’s day was watching the Dairy section, with many classes showing excellent cattle as they vied for Supreme Champion in the Royal Event.
“You can see the absolute pride each exhibitor had with the cattle they had on display,” says Nic.
After awarding the Royal Event Supreme Champion, Nic was honoured to have attended the presentation for the Champions in the sheep sections.
